Everything you need to know before reaching out — answered clearly.
No referral is required to schedule an appointment at Lasting Language Therapy Services. You are welcome to contact us directly to book a free consultation or schedule a full evaluation. That said, many patients do come to us with a referral from their pediatrician, orthodontist, ENT physician, sleep specialist, or neurologist, and we are happy to work closely with your referring provider throughout the course of treatment. If a physician has recommended speech or myofunctional therapy, we'll communicate back with them regarding your progress and treatment goals — with your written consent.
Yes — Lasting Language Therapy Services offers secure, HIPAA-compliant video teletherapy for many of our services, including speech therapy for children and adults, myofunctional therapy, and follow-up consultations. Teletherapy sessions are conducted through a private video platform and are just as effective as in-person sessions for most patients and conditions. We provide teletherapy for patients throughout the state of Georgia, making high-quality speech care accessible even if you live farther from our Sandy Springs office or have a schedule that makes in-person visits difficult.
Lasting Language Therapy Services operates as an out-of-network provider with most major insurance plans. We accept payment directly and provide detailed superbills that include all the diagnostic and procedural codes your insurance company needs to process an out-of-network reimbursement claim. Many patients with PPO-type plans receive meaningful out-of-network reimbursement after meeting their deductible. We also accept Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) payment. We strongly recommend calling the member services number on the back of your insurance card before your first appointment to ask specifically about your out-of-network speech therapy benefits and your applicable deductible and reimbursement rate.
Getting started is simple. You can reach us by phone at 470-851-4988, by email at amanda@lastinglanguage.net, or by submitting an intake inquiry through our contact page at lastinglanguage.net/contact. We'll begin with a brief phone conversation to hear your concerns, answer your questions, and determine whether a full evaluation or a free introductory consultation makes the most sense as a first step. Most new patient evaluations are scheduled within 1–2 weeks of first contact. For patients coming through orthodontic or medical referral, we ask that the referring provider send over any relevant records prior to the first appointment so Amanda can review the full clinical picture before you arrive.
